Quick Mill coffee machine
Quick Mill is an Italian brand that started by making grinders, for minced meat and coffee beans among others. Later, the brand also began producing coffee machines and espresso machines, with the Quick Mill 3035, the Quick Mill 820, and the Quick Mill 3000 being the most popular machines. Both the Quick Mill coffee machine and the Quick Mill espresso machine are made with details such as a unique thermoblock system to ensure relatively fast heating, but also reasonable temperature control. Of course, do not forget to perform timely and proper maintenance on the coffee machine to ensure a long lifespan and to prevent the coffee flavor from being adversely affected by limescale.
About Quick Mill coffee machines
Directly after World War II in 1945, the Italian engineer Perugia started producing grinders. The grinders were used for various products, such as the famous Parmesan cheese, minced meat, but also for coffee beans. The birth of Quick Mill Italy was a fact and since then not much has changed within the company. The name ‘Quick Mill’ can be translated into English as ‘fast mill’. The technology has evolved with the times and the design is almost unchanged. The Quick Mill coffee machine is, in Italian, “create per durare nel tempo” which loosely translates to “made to last a long time”.
The Quick Mill factory is located in Milan, just like many other espresso machine manufacturers such as Bezzera and Rocket Espresso. On the espresso machines, you see the Italian flag which is a proud reference to the country of origin. In the Quick Mill 820 and the Quick Mill 3000, a unique thermoblock with copper piping is applied. This ensures fast heating and also protects against limescale.
Besides Quick Mill’s coffee and espresso machines, they have also released standalone coffee grinders. The brand started with developing coffee grinders and they still have grinders on the market. There is a simple model, the Quick Mill 031, but there is also a more luxurious model: the Quick Mill 085 SIRIO. This model has a display that allows you to finely adjust the perfect grind for your coffee beans.
The most popular Quick Mill coffee machines
There are various models from the Quick Mill brand that you can purchase, but there are only three popular coffee and espresso machines.
- Quick Mill 3035
There are several models of Quick Mill coffee machines with an integrated grinder, such as the Quick Mill 3035. The copper piping combined with the unique thermoblock ensures good temperature control and you also have the grinder directly integrated with the machine. The warm-up time takes a few minutes and you have to wait a bit before you can use the steam wand to froth milk. - Quick Mill 820
You can purchase the Quick Mill 820 in various colors, such as yellow, red, green, white, and black. This way you can get the Quick Mill coffee machine that fits your (kitchen) interior. The stainless steel group head ensures a longer lifespan and it comes with a stainless steel tamper. - Quick Mill 3000
The Quick Mill 3000 is a suitable model for all coffee specialties and variants. This Quick Mill machine features a double thermoblock system with two pumps. This way you can easily make two cups of espresso at the same time.
However, we recommend choosing a somewhat more professional espresso machine. You will enjoy it longer and it gives you many more options to adjust the taste of your coffee.
Maintenance for Quick Mill coffee machines
Besides using the Quick Mill coffee machine, it is also important to maintain it properly. Especially a thermoblock is sensitive to this. Actually, the biggest enemy of a coffee machine is limescale and it is important to prevent this as much as possible. The copper piping and the thermal block with which the Quick Mill machines are equipped already prevent limescale as much as possible. However, you cannot completely prevent limescale and that makes maintenance all the more important. Limescale can affect the taste of your coffee, but also shorten the lifespan of your Quick Mill espresso machine. At CasaBarista you can also go for maintenance and repair of various Quick Mill machines. Ask our locations about the possibilities.
All Quick Mill machine manuals contain a description of how to best maintain the coffee machines. If there is a malfunction or maintenance cannot be performed, you have the option to send the machine to Quick Mill via customer service. There are costs associated with this service, but then you have a complete maintenance or repair performed according to Italian standards.
