Somewhere between the fields, under the smoke of Milan, lies the Macchine per caffè factory G.Bezzera SRL on Via Bezzera in Rosate Milan. A warm welcome for CasaBarista by Luca Bezzera, the 4thegeneration 'Bezzera' that now leads the 110-year-old family business. A regular Italian boy, no fuss, enthusiastic, driven, and proud of Bezzera's philosophy and tradition. This is how Luigi Bezzera started more than a century ago in 1901 with a coffee brewing method that would later be embraced by the whole world. A special foundation in the brewing method: workers should not have to wait too long for their cup of coffee. To save time, hot water was forcefully pressed through finely ground coffee, the espresso brewing method was born! This invention was presented at the fair in Milan in 1906, which is why every 'Bezzi' features the recognizable snake, the family crest of Milan.
Bezzera builds its machines entirely by itself. While other brands purchase components and assemble a machine, Bezzera manufactures most parts entirely on its own. At Bezzera, raw materials enter the factory and beautiful espresso machines roll out of the factory. Craftsmanship (see photo) and robotics go hand in hand here. The new Matrix and Duo dual boiler machines are being produced in full swing during our visit. Each machine is assembled by hand and thoroughly subjected to an extensive test one by one.
